Pleasant View School students competed in the MathCounts competition on Feb. 1 at Southwest Community College after preparing in the after school club. MathCounts is a national program that provides students in grades six to eight the opportunity to compete in in-person contests against and alongside their peers. Pleasant View School students took the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) on Thursday, Jan. 30 to practice their math skills. The Mathematical Association of America’s AMC is separated into two tests, one for grades nine and 10 and the other for grades 11 and 12.
